What is the origin of good and evil? I believe this is a topic or subject that enquiring minds would love to know more about. I am sure there are many opinions, many variables and insights. But, for for today I am going to share the short version as written in our Master Key Experience, part twenty.
It is short, sweet and has me mesmerized that is why I am choosing to share it with you all of you. Thoughts to ponder on, that is my plan!
Origin of good and evil:
The wisdom is in the field of uncertainty, not what we know … Live with just the question, embrace uncertainty and let it come to you without feeling you must know… For the riches of open-mindedness are truly found in willingness, not compulsion.
For many years there has been an endless discussion as to the origin of evil. Theologians have told us that God is Love, and that God is Omnipresent. If this be true, there is no place where God is not.
Where, then, is Evil, Satan and Hell?
Let us see and hear their version of the origin of good and evil:
God is Spirit.
Spirit is the Creative Principle of the Universe. Man is made in the image and likeness of God. Man is therefore a spiritual being.
The only activity which spirit possesses is the power to think. Thinking is therefore a creative process.
All form is therefore the result of the thinking process.
The destruction of form must also be a result of the thinking process.
Fictitious representations of form are the result of the creative power of thought, as in Hypnotism.
{ Isn’t this interesting? Different way to look at the origin of good and evil }
Apparent representation of form are the result of the creative power of thought, as in Spiritualism.
Invention, organization and constructive work of all kinds are the result of the creative power of thought, as in concentration.
When the creative power of thought is manifested for the benefit of humanity, we call the result good.
When the creative power of thought is manifested in a destructive or evil manner, we call the result evil.
This indicates the origin of both good and evil; they are simply words which have been coined in order to indicate the nature of the result of the thinking or creative process. Thought necessarily precedes and predetermines action; action precedes and predetermines condition.

Thanks for writing this interesting blog post, Brenda! If 1. It’s all good, and 2. Evil is the complete absence of good, then does evil even exist? 🙂
I guess it would depend on from where you are at the present moment ☺️🙏💕
Thank you for bringing back week 20 of the Master Key Experience!
The week’s go by fast when your having fun 😉🙏❣️
Oh my goodness, Brenda. This is heavy stuff. Thanks for helping me get my brain around this fascinating thought. I especially loved that you included the the little helpful comment in the corner of the lower pic–I hadn’t thought about that before. “An analogy would be like the ends of a ruler; there is no end to the spectrum or scale of measurements. The measuring scale is technically infinite, but we use relative measurements to relate and compare one thing to another.”
I know hey 👌💯✅ I learned alot during the writing of this also. 🙏❣️ Thanks so much Shirley 😊
Powerful blog Brenda, thank you for sharing!
It was a great find for me to learn more about this during the #MasterKeyExperience ❣️👌☺️
Really enjoyed the history of ‘good and evil’ that you shared Brenda! More evidence of the importance of our thoughts. 🙂
I loved learning about all this during our #MasterKeyExperience 💯🙏❣️
Yes, still learning so much and working on applying what I’ve learned! 🙂
Brenda, your discussion of what is good and of what is evil is very thought provoking. Thank you. From your blog rover friend John.
Yes it was that for me too 😉❣️
